It's every citizen's right to take part in their government, but sometimes it's hard to keep track of what they're up to at City Hall. At Protect San Jose, we like to keep our readers informed. That's why we spend hours pouring over agendas for the City Council and various committees and commissions.
We keep a watchful eye out for items that will have an impact on the safety of our streets and neighborhoods. When an important item pops up, we want to let you know about it so you can come down to 200 E. Santa Clara Street and have your opinion heard.
Today, the City Council meets at 1:30 p.m. in their chambers. Here are some pertinent items they'll be discussing, along with links to the supporting documents:

Value of your children
Once again we see another death of a 17 year old future leader. While jogging it appears that she was attacked and now possibly killed. (san Diego) The commmon thing with as many attacks is the possibility the perp was once again a sexual predator released early from a prior prison confinment for sexual assault. With the State attempting to balance the budget and the assembly looking for ways to save money we will be once again dumping the predators on our society. What is the long term savings I ask you. The county is adding more public defenders to its staff, how much is that. I know propation has suffered cutbacks with the added assignments of monitoring additional prisoners. The city has cut back the officers on the streets. we see a reduction of critical investigators for these predators being released. So what do we really save? I can tell you what we don't save. Your young child. Call your assembly reps and let them know. Stop the continued release your killing our children.lease
