We are pleased but not surprised that the District Attorney has absolved these officers of any criminal wrongdoing.   San Jose has the finest police department in the country.  We have high standards and quality officers.  Even though our work is difficult, we do an excellent job protecting the people of San Jose.  This case was no exception.

Congratulations to the officers. You guys did nothing wroing in dealing with a violent subject and were made scapegoats for doing your job and wanting to go home safely at the end of your shift.

With all the propellor heads at work wearing the head cameras we can expect more of this generated from within our own department, imo only.

Score another loss for the silly political agenda of the Merky News against the SJPD! I fully expect to see a story with some conspiracy theories here in the next few days, brilliant quotes from Raj and company, and a loosely organized march on city hall with the same 20 people that usually show up holding protest banners.

Good job gentlemen for standing your ground and doing the right thing in an honorable, professional, and legal manner while dealing with a difficult and violent situation! Keep up the good work and as always, be safe out there!

  • Expect More Merky Attacks on D
We can expect more " don't confuse us with law or facts" political and personal attacks on SJPD and DA from bankrupt Merky "We Make Up" News and their co-conspirators Yea, we know who they are

Everyone be safe and don't let a few jerks get you down, people appreciate and support you

I'm saddened to think that a man can pull a knife on someone, threaten to kill him, and get off without any consequences for their actions. I'm not sure what this world is coming to any more when someone can do that and get a way with it. It is rather frightening if you ask me.

I'm happy to hear that these Officers were cleared by the DA's Office. I hope this issue has been resolved now, but I have to agree with others here who fear the worst is yet to come. I don't think the media and others will let this drop and move on. To the Officers involved, I'm sorry you and your families have been treated so badly through out this ordeal. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Stay safe out there!

    Media Hypocrits!

I think it is pretty weird the difference in how the Murkey Puke writes stories about:

    White people committing crimes

    People of color committing crimes

IF they even write about people of color pleading guilty to crimes they commit

How often they write about crimes committed by whites, and why they don't scream excessive force when a white person gets shot while breaking the law. It is all BS! If anyone is being racist it’s the media!

I was reading the article below and was wondering what this story would read like if this happened in SJ and this guy were shot by SJPD. I'll bet 10 bucks they'd either not cover it cause the guy was white or accuse the PD of using excess force because they shot him. Another thing, they aren't making excuses for this guy by claiming racial profiling and naming the cops who shot him, and mentioning their race. They blame drugs. See the hypocritical reporting here folks?

    It Figures

I just posted this same comment on the Murkey comment section and they pulled it off. Here is to wondering why.

I feel for the officers and their families whose names were drug through the mud. Again in the end the officers were slandered just for doing their job.

I am waiting for the mercury news editorial apolgizing to to the officers for putting them through that ordeal. I won't hold my breath though.

  • C.S.

    Agreed

"I am waiting for the mercury news editorial apolgizing to to the officers for putting them through that ordeal. I won't hold my breath though."

I'm with you on that. These cops don't deserve to have their names and families drug through the mud because Raj and his fellow cop haters want a guy who pulled a knife on someone made into a hero. I'm PO'ed that this guy got off. We can thank Raj, Konda and others for that. The Mayor and Council allowing them to spew hate towards cops didn't help either.

The reason these guys got their names drug throught the mud is because our own chief said "this is very disturbing", along with some other so-called "law enforcement experts", and then 1 week later we had officers wearing head cameras, giving fuel to the fire for the media that it was to watch us, not the criminals. Our own chief should have got in front of the media immediately and defended the officers, who were attempting to arrest a violent suspect not complying with verbal commands, and who had just threatened to kill his roommate with a knife. I also think the head camera idea is a terrible idea and will be a Pandora's box. It will be a field day for defense attorneys to take clips out of context, and things that will invariably end up on You Tube when the system is hacked into, as it will be by some kid. Our own Pentagon has been hacked into by a kid, how can Taser claim their system is fool proof?
  • sayitlikeitis

Problem is at the top of the organization

I agree that the Chief is looking out for his own needs now. He has difficulty relating to the "troops". Leadership at SJPD is severely lacking as all of the gold badges or padding their resumes and looking for Chief's jobs or they are feeding Chief Davis baloney. Rob is being set up by his "advisors" and he is so out of touch- he can't figure that out. Good luck Davis- go to Dallas, Houston and fool them. Next time save your "comments" that what you saw was disturbing until the facts become clear.
  • On the inside
Ho should be in jail. The officers shouldn't be treated like this. The Chief should support their actions and not give in to Raj and his friend Konda.
  • On the inside

    Great decision

Glad the officers were cleared. Too bad Ho was.
